Christchurch house
Client brief:
Contemporary kitchen for new-built home defining homeowners way of living. Kitchen for entertaining dominating the open living space. Importance of practicality as well as aesthetics.
Outcome:
Collaborating Poliform Artex and Twelve kitchen collections fully integrating all appliances. Tall cabinetry along the entire back wall featuring side by side wine fridges is creating a space blending in with the interiors where the kitchen is becoming a part of the living space, rather than having seen “heavy look” of exposed appliances. The back wall of the kitchen also features tall pocket door unit hiding workable bench space with all small appliances but allows to slide doors away when required. Adjacent scullery with additional workbench and sink allows for preparation away from the open plan living.
Finishes:
Back wall cabinetry is in model Artex in Black elm wood with negative detailing for opening all doors instead of using handles.
Island and scullery is model Twelve featuring fingerprint resistant Nero touch laminate doors with slim-line 12mm thick etched Nero glass worktop. Peninsula for seating is in solid wood and matching the dining table.
Muted matt tones of the etched black glass and touch laminate together with the natural wood grains and handle-less cabinetry created a bespoke space complimenting to the latest European trends.
