Damian Williamson
Born in London in 1974, he graduated in 1998 from the Department of Product Design at Kingston University London, with his thesis in Advanced Materials. Between 1998 and 2003 he collaborated with a Stockholm based architectural office where he worked on design projects for clients including Artemide, DePadova and B&B Italia. In 2004 Damian established his own design office currently based in Stockholm. The office is committed to combining technological research and innovation. A humble, human-centred approach to design that re-examines and re-evaluates existing typologies and our relationship with them. His projects are often characterised by a sense of inventiveness and poetic simplicity. The Outline room-divider he designed was selected by Björn Dahlström as 'Best new product' at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2007 and won the Forum +1 Award. Damian continues to gain international recognition and today collaborates with clients including DePadova and Zanotta. Since 2005 he serves as guest tutor on the Industrial Design course at LTH University Sweden.
